EdYourself is the work of Fiona Nicholson. Fiona’s main focus is on children and young people educated otherwise than at school. Fiona keeps a watchful eye on elective home education policy and practice and has given evidence to Government Committees.
Other areas of interest include unregistered schools plus provision for children and young people unable to attend school, particularly in cases of special educational needs and disability.
Fiona works closely with HEAS (the Home Education Advisory Service) and was previously a Trustee and Policy Chair at Education Otherwise.
Fiona chose to home educate her son who now runs his own business making hand-crafted musical instruments.
