The online consultation form for the new draft home education guidance puts respondents into different categories depending on their background. Most of the questions which follow are multiple choice which enables responses to be sorted eg x% of parents agreed; x% of local authorities agreed. 10 questions have a comment box for writing your answer. DfE is likely to use automated textual analysis which will search for key words and phrases in the written responses.
